about Holiday Rent a Car.

PAYMENT

Debit cards: Valid drivers license and debit card must be in the same name. Debit card must have available funds of $100.00 plus total estimated rental charges. Available on rental of vehicle classes Economy thru Full Size and Mini Van only.
NOTE: Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take up to 14 days to appear back on your account when using this form of payment.

Major credit cards: Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name. Credit card must have available funds of $250.00 or estimated amount of rental charges whichever is greater. At time of rental credit card funds will be taken as a deposit against rental charges.
NOTE: We do not accept the miniature key tag style credit cards.
NOTE: Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take between 2 to 5 days to appear back on your account when using this form of payment.

Cash rentals: In order to utilize CASH (as opposed to major credit card) as a qualifying Method of Payment at Time of Rental, the following conditions must be satisfied:

  1. Must be a local resident
  2. Must be employed full time and show proof of employment
  3. Must have a land-line or cell phone in your name and provide verification of the same.
  4. Must provide proof of residency. Providing a utility bill in rentees name or mail that matches name and address.
  5. Must provide personal references.

INSURANCE

Optional Insurance not required to rent a vehicle. Details available at rental counter. If renter elects to provide own insurance coverage, proof of insurance is required.

Supplemental Liability Coverage (SLP) This coverage is excess over underlying insurance specific within your signed rental agreement up to 1,000,000 dollars. Protects you against claims made by third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while operating the rental vehicle. Does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a rental vehicle.

Personal Property/Personal Accident Coverage (PPC) Personal property coverage protects against damage to personal effects owned by the renter, as well as immediate family members of the renter, who permanently reside in the renters household and are traveling with the renter. Personal accident coverage provides accidental death and accidental medical expense benefit to the renter and their passenger (s). The death and medical expense benefit will both pay in addition to any other coverage that might be applicable to the renter or passengers.

Loss Damage Waiver Holiday offers to all renters LDW, Loss Damage Waiver, which for an additional daily charge relieves the renter of all financial responsibility for the loss or damage to the rental car, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Renter may choose from a $500 deductible or $0 deductible.

AGE

Minimum age for renters and drivers is 21.
NOTE: Renters and drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage charge of $10.00 per day.

CANCELLATION

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy for all passenger vans, minivans and large SUV's. A reservation deposit of $100 will be forfeited if cancelled within that time period unless Holiday is able to re-reserve the vehicle for the full value of the cancelled reservation.

HONOR RESERVATIONS

Reservations will be honored for a period of 2 hours after the confirmed pick up date and time.

EARLY/LATE RETURN - Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. All passenger vans, minivans and large SUV's are subject to being charged for the time reserved. No credit will be allowed for an early return. However, in the event that you wish to extend a rental beyond the reservation date, every effort will be made to extend the rental but Holiday cannot guarantee the availability beyond the reservation date.

GAS

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges. Refueling is charged at the rate of $6.00 per gallon.

EMERGENCY INFO

Roadside assistance info is in the glove compartment of each vehicle which is provided by the specific manufacturer. Notify Holiday Rent a Car during business hours of any emergency.

EQUIPMENT

GPS: GPS Units are available for rent at $5.00 per day. Please ask for details at the time of rental.

GEOGRAPHIC

Holiday Rent a Car's Vehicles are NOT allowed to travel West of the Rockies or into Mexico.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age, license, and major credit card. An additional driver charge of $6.00 per day per additional driver. There is no additional driver charge for a spouse of the rentee named on the rental agreement.

RULES

Extensions To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location by the original due date.

Length of rental Rental agreements (contract) cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement (contract). The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace period A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement (contract) at the time of rental. There is a 59 minutes grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After three hours full-day charge may apply.

Rental Requirements All renters/drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply: A valid drivers license (U.S., Canadian or international licenses with a valid passport are accepted), current home address (not P.O.Box), a current home phone number, and second contact phone number (cell or business).
